    My GS Story

A couple of years ago I lived in Gilbert Arizona. I would spend a lot of time in the garage working on my GSXR and CR500Supermoto. One day one of the neighbors comes by and asked me if I might be interested in his 82GS1100. Told him I would take a look. Walked over and inside his garage under stacks of old boxes was this beautiful Rootbeer brown GS GK. Turns out it was pulled into the garage in 95 and left there. I helped him dig it out and then asked what he wanted for it. He GAVE it to me. well its been in my storage unit for a couple years now and I got a wild hair and bought a set of Carbs (The stockers were destroyed) and a pair of forks off of Ebay for $156 Total. Installed the Carbs, a new battery, and the forks. She now runs (Lots of Camchain noise) and starts pretty easily but I dont believe the charging system is good. Thats next. This old Girl needs lots of TLC but should be a fun runner.

"free" Bikes are great aren't they? I have about $2,000 into my free 650, and I'm not quite done, yet.

LMAO. Precisely. Mine will STILL be a rat plus. I laugh every time I think about it.
