    First ride back in WI.

Took a short 100 mile ride back home and thought I would post up the photos. I took a road that is literally right out in front of my house all the way to Spring Green, WI. I am still adjusting to the normal temperatures here but I have to say that it was quite enjoyable.

Here is a pic just for GSBill.

    The rest are right here.

    Been there....

When I was a kid, we shipped our milk to the creamery that became Carr's.--that's 50 years ago.

      Takes a while to remember

The creamery was then called Homeland Dairy: their trucks would come to the farm and pick up the 10-gallon cans of milk we'd collected over the last 24 hours and leave 50 gallons of "whey" (the residue from milk after the cheese makings had been extracted) for hog food.

I really would like to ride the hills and coulees of Western Wisconsin, but I've got to get a bike up there from down here in El Paso. Some friends from Washington state are talking about a ride next year, but plans are still in development.

My brother does have a Harley in Mauston, but I don't want to lower myself...

Thats really cool man. We used to have the milk man come and pick up milk from our bulk tank every other day. He used to carry butter and cheese so that we did not have to buy any from the store. As for harleys....I think I am one of a very few that don't ride one here in town. 8-[

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

There was a few times down there that the desert was extremely green but those times were few and far between. :-|

There's something you're not quite understanding about the snowbird concept...
