You hit a pothole and the bike went left? Skid the front or back wheel, or bad tires lost grip, or something else? Just trying to learn from your mishap.
Thanks, and I'm happy you are OK and the bike will soon be.
im very better now and thanks for all the replies:-D
bike is still in same condition tho!
i have a loan bike from a m8 un fortunately its a y*m*h* but a very fast one that starts first time every time and you can use a button to start it :-D

Yeah, 1980GS1000. I don't quite get it. My bike has the big hoopy guards (i really only kept them on for the highway pegs) but my ride took a slight hit on both sides and the gauges! (?) The hiway peg on the other side was bent and that's it. No other damage. Cept my body and my pride, of course. I have very little idea of the calestenics the bike was doing - even less of an idea of what my body was doing. I can't imagine 60MPH.
Don't want to hijack Orgis' thread here so I'll only dump one picture, as opposed to going into full spew mode here -
It all better now though!
Glad you're OK. OrgLast edited by Guest; 11-01-2007, 10:14 PM.

Yes, I see how that could have happened. The crash bars fitted to your bike are pretty far away from the engine cases. I have no idea how the ones fitted to my bike will hold up, but they are closer to the engine and they are the 3-point type. I hope I never have to find out...NO PIC THANKS TO FOTO BUCKET FOR BEING RIDICULOUS
