    What a great day!

Finally got a day to work on the bike after well over a month. Wanted to install and time the cams.

Got the cams on. Everything is great.

Then the cam cover bolt strips (already heli-coiled one before putting on cylinder head).

Can't heli-coil because the drill won't fit. Try to figure something out for an hour (total waste of time). Take off cams, pull cylinder head, do the job, put it back together.

Finally, cams on right again. But now a different cam bolt strips this time. Out of heli-coils.

So after a long afternoon, I'm farther behind than when I began.

    CRAP!
I know there are bigger problems in the world. My crap days are probably someone elses dreamworld. But crap. I should buy stock in that heli-coil company. Or that classic rock station that kept me from throwing my bike through the window. Geeze.

    Geez is right!!!

Well... whenever something untoward like that happens to me, I try to convince myself (feebly) that maybe all of that work and diversion was the Universe's way of stopping me from doing something else that would have been bad.

(or fun, but I try not to dwell on that possibility)

      Persistance!

      Mr. mark,

      Sorry man. 8-[

When stuff like that happens to me, I look at it like "at least I'm getting plenty of practice. Next time will be a cinch!" \\/

      Thank you for your indulgence,

Yes, the glory of transcendance ought to break into the mundane though the discpline of patiently waiting.

Right now though, the way it seems to work is that the universe hits your thumb with a hammer to make your headache go away, haha.

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.
