This should be interesting
So my motorcycle road test is on Thursday at 1:00pm. I just checked the weather forecast and found that starting at 1pm, we are supposed to be getting rain, scattered thunderstorms, and 12mph winds. This should make for an interesting test... lol. hopefully i wont get a huge wind gust in teh middle of my figure 8 and have the bike stand straight back up on me.. lol

In MN, the examining station guys won't do the test if it even looks like rain. Some people I know have been riding on permits for years because the test examiner's schedule doesn't match theirs. For people that want to become fully licensed so they can ride at night, have passengers, ride without a helmet (why they want to do that, I'll never know), they sign up for our MSF BRC, learn some good riding skills, take their skills test, and normally get their permit stamped for the endorsement all in the same weekend.
My shameless plug for MN Motorcycle Safety Center, and our MSF programs............

My neighbor actually did break his leg during the MN test. Some guy wiped out in front of him and caused him to dump his bike.
No worries though, this rarely happens.
Good luck!

I wanted to take the MSF course but at the beginning of the year when I was going to sign up a friend of mine who is an instructor said that the course was no longer good for obtaining your license, so I never signed up. Then they later renewed the contract which made it good again, but the soonest available opening wasnt for like 3 months. And Im too afraid to just ride on a permit... lol

Well its looking like i wont have to worry about the weather. My dad was originally going to be my follower, but was called to argentina for work (left today). So then I planned on having my brother-in-law follow me but as I did my final check on the DMV site, I found out that the follower must be atleast 21... and he is not.
This sucks!!

I need to schedule my road test, for like 10 years now.

we actually both work for the same company... he's just been there a lot longer and he gets sent on the trips.. lol. We build and repair industrial air/gas compressors.
As far as the test, i was able to get my mother-in-law to follow. It went pretty well.. the street for my figure 8 was about 4 lanes wide.. lol. But it was a good thing because even though I increased my idle to about 2500rpm so I wouldnt have to touch the throttle, it still bogged down in the middle of my 8 so I had to hit the throttle quick and ended up going a little wide. The guy was actually very nice though and he said that my second one was perfect so he let the first slide.
