    broken down

I recieved a call about lunch time, it was the local shell station. the attendant knew i lived close by and asked if i could help out a guy on a old harley and it had clutch faliure and a broken clutch perch.
so i was there within miniutes and got the thing to run enough to get it my place only about two blocks away. when we got there and took the clutch cover off it was a bit of a mess but nothing we couldnt take care of, seems every thing was out of adjustment. so we adjusted the clutch plates and the push rod and got enough clutch to get him home .
the other problem was a broken clutch perch but with bail wire in hand we fixed that as well.
he was amazed that we got it running so quickly and offered some cash as payment for a helpull hand. i turned down the money and told him that from one biker to another no need for money just help the next guy you see on the side of the road with a broken bike . he agreed and off he went rattling down the road........toolman

Had a similar situation when a fellow biker took me to his house to fix a flat and would't take any money. He said the same thing "just pass it on"
