My first real day of riding

I finally talked a friend of mine to go riding with me. I covered about 200 miles yesterday, going all over Southeastern Indiana (As far south as Rising Sun, and as far north as Brookville for those of you who are familiar with this area). Since I've had my bike, this is the first time I have done any significant riding in one day. What an absolutely perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon . My bike ran great with a couple of minor hitches. I lost my "GS850l" decal on the side of the bike. It was my stupidity, because I knew it was loose and I didn't do anything about it. Also, the switch that controls the brake light from my rear brake started acting up and my brake light wouldn't turn off. I had to disconnect that. I always brake with both brakes and the brake light still works when I hit my front brakes, so that got me through, but obviously I need to replace that switch. If anyone has any ideas where to find these two items, I am all ears.

All in all, however it was a great day. I am hooked with a capital "H".

Actually as a follow up. This is on Ebay:

It's from an '80 GS850l and mine is an '83. It certainly looks like mine, and I assume it would work. Does anyone know if there is a reason it wouldn't?
