Thanks for great photos. Now if I can find some of the ones we took.
My Grandmother lived in Star City AR, so I did spent much time there in the summers growing up. I attended 2 years of college at UAM (Monticello), and finished a BSEE at UA Fayettville. I have not been back for many years. One of the last trips (with my Dad about 95) was a road trip from Star City to Hot Springs. Seeing these pics gives me a hankerin to get back on my GS and see those great fall colors.

    Thanks for sharing trumpetguy

I don't like to carry my expensive camera gear on the bike. I travel with an older Kodak Z7590. It is a 5MP camera, but has a 10X zoom lens made by Schneider-Kreuznach in Germany. For a point-and-shoot, it is ALMOST as good as a DSLR. I have taken some really nice pictures with it over the years.

Thanks for the compliment on the picture. In this case, it was just how the fog looked! I pointed and shot. I'll send it to you if you want to make a print. PM me with a email address.

I am a really lucky guy. My parents got married in high school and had me right away. As a result, I'm only 18 years younger than my dad. We have taken several trips together (mostly with my brother too) and they are special memories that will only get more special as time goes by! I now that there are many people out there who never had this kind of relationship with their dad and I do cherish every minute of it. I also cherish the time I get with my kids.

My dad's still in great health and wrenches when he isn't riding. He's in the middle of restoring another BMW R1100RS that he bought as a project shortly after we finished this ride in October. Not bad for a 70-year-old guy!
