How in the world could a hard saddlebag fall off and me be completely oblivious? Next morning I drove some of the route before work but it was still dark so didn't see anything; after work I drove some more of it but by then it was snowing pretty heavily. We got a couple of inches on the ground now but it's supposed to be around 50 tomorrow so I probably drive it again and hope for the best!

Lost and Found
Temp was 61 degrees here on Thursday. Changed my oil and corrected tire pressures on Wed. night after a long three months in the shed. Rita and I hit the road at about noon and did my favorite nearby loop (approx. 100 miles) on some back roads. Found my grin on some of the twisties (they're not really but the closest thing I have around here) and was in a great mood when I got home so decided to rake the yard. When I got done and walked back into the garage I was dumbfounded to see my lovely Rita sitting there sans her rightside Vetter saddlebag! WTF?

Why did you call it "Lost and Found"? You got my hopes up that you found it in the end. Oh well. Don't despair though, on a motorcycle trip to the Grand Canyon, my Pentax Spotmatic SLR fell off while traveling 70mph. I traveled probably 15 minutes before realizing it. I backed track and found it on the side of the road, and believe it or not, it still works to this day. So I have hope for you finding it.

Last October I lost both my side covers while riding. I rode that route several times and never saw anything. Not suprising as how small they are.
Good luck.
