    My dad

As some of you might have known that I bought my first bike in the spring of 08 (82 650G). I was out so much with my best friend and his uncle riding the rest of the year, my dad went out and bought his first bike in 20+ years (74 Honda CB 350) the next year. It was nice to ride with my dad, even if his bike wouldn't keep up with me. I kept tellin my dad that he should have bought a bigger bike, but he didn't listen to me. So in this past fall, he told me he wanted a bigger bike. I've been hunting around for a while and didn't find one he liked. I had to head out of town for while for work (still not home) and had to stop looking. I checked my email a lil while ago and he sent me a message that he just won a 78 GS550 located in TN. I'm real happy that my dad is gettin a bigger bike and I'm gonna welcome him to the wonderful world of the GSR forum. Hope to have a pic of the bike soon.

So I got an email today from my dad. Here's what he wrote:

"So I took my 550 out for a few rides this past week. What a difference! My old CB 350 was like driving grandma's Escort. My 550 is like driving mom's Sebring. I'm glad you talked me into upgrading to a bigger bike."

Now I just need to get home and ride with my dad and borther in law (00 honda shadow). Only 54 more days.

It's great that you and your Dad have a chance to connect with each other like that.

So, will he be pulling wheelies up and down the road now?

Hey! I love analogy questions...Let's see:

If a CB350 is to an Escort as a GS550 is to a Sebring, then the ________ is like a Corvette.

          OK guys...fill in the blank...

BTW: very cool story about Dad. Have a great time riding together when you get home.
