Carter, you are my new GS hero. Camping with a Kat...oh my aching back.
Your pics brought back great memories for me of my early biking days.

It wasn't bad on the back with the tent and the rainsuit I never wore pushing against the low back. Hamstrings and knees got a little fussy.

I just got the credit card statements. Looks like I spent $491 on gas roundtrip (5364). There maybe a few bottles of water and a couple of snacks mixed into that price. Super unleaded or the highest octane available. Gas in Canada isn't cheap. 5 stops in Ontario cost around $75

Great shots and it must have been a heck of a ride. Made me envious for a long ride.

Big T, which bike are you riding to the NW rally? The fridge? Any chance Lee's taking some action shots like our last get together?

Thanks for the tip about not taking the ferry. I enjoyed the scenery through Ontario and played hide and seek games with a speeding SUV, allowing me to eat up the miles quicker to
Michigan. The road itself wasn't terribly exciting, so using the SUV as a decoy for cops allowed me to wick it up a bit.

                            Oldgsfan,

Yes, the days were long and the sleep at night came easy. I think what was most pleasing was the fact I experienced no mechanical or electrical failures on a modified air cooled bike.

                              Hi,

Most excellent adventure! Just you, the Kat, and a tent. Not the most comfortable way to travel, but it's just about the most fun. Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

                              Thank you for your indulgence,
