    Shooting video on my GS1000

I bought a GoPro Hero "motorsports" camera back in January and just got around to being brave enough to mount it yesterday.
If anyone has one with the suction cup mount then you know what all comes in the package. I put every piece together that I had and mounted it right behind the gas cap on top of the tank. Sadly it was about 2 - 3 inches too short. Got perfect imaging of the instruments but not of the road ahead. I'll have to come up with something else that still has the gauges in the shot. The mount on the side of the engine case guard gave awesome footage but the sound was overpowered by the engine noise and I don't mean the exhaust note.

Can anyone give a recomendation for a viewing/editing program for the computer so that I can make my own videos?

    Hi,

I do my "down and dirty" video editing using Windows Movie Maker. If you want more bells and whistles, Pinnacle Studio is a very good application for about $50.

    Other suggestions (free):

And the opensource (Linux) Open Movie Editor:

    Thank you for your indulgence,

I've used AVS4U for HD video & it works well. You can edit and get it back into 1080P, which some programs don't seem to like to do. Also lets you save in about any format you want.

BTW, it comes with full suite of image, video & music editing software. I think I paid $59???

Here's a link to a ride I edited using this software and a Hero HD mounted on the fork tube just below the triple tree. It's in 1080P if you've got a good connection & graphics card.
Some shots from by bike cam in Kentucky. Cool tunnel on Hwy 77
