My wife's been a pretty good sport about me buying this bike - and all the boxes from UPS.
She mostly held her tongue when I came back from my first few rides telling her how unbelievable this bike is.
So Sunday she tells me she wants to go for a ride. Cool! First passenger.
We don't have all that much time, since she's gotta go to work at 5, and I map out a short loop. We've been stuck behind cars and I'm thinking I gotta show her what this little beast will do. Turning left at the light onto a two lane road, I see that all the cars have moved into the right lane, so I tap her leg to let her know to hold on. We're going maybe 20 mph in 1st gear, so I roll on the throttle to give her a little taste of brutal power. Instead of the slam your butt backwards that I'm used to, the front end comes up like a freakin' works dirtbike! Guess it was the extra 105 lbs in back that made her come up so easy. I'm so startled that I chopped the throttle and the front end slams down a touch crooked in what might've been the world's worst wheelie. I start laughing my azz off, partly out of relief and partly cause it's so darned funny as my wife starts hitting me on the back yelling "Don't do that anymore!"
Any other woman would've told me to sell my Busa.
