Indian Summer in MN / Helmet Cam

Wow !! Nov 12 and near 60f today in the land of 10,000 frozen lakes. Have not seen a one flake of the dreaded white stuff yet. Yeah !! I felt for the people out East and in AK that have already endured mother natures left hook.

So.....most of my getting ready for winter is done as its usually already here with bone chilling temps. This left me time for a quick ride out to the lake.

I duct taped my $80 kodak to my helmet. Sorry for the wind noise.

    Come on along.....

Nice looking ride Dave. How do you get rid of the wind noise? Just in case I get one of those fancy thingamajiggers this year?

I think the fancy (go-pros) thingamajiggers have built in noise canceling. Mine is far from fancy .

Nice vid. I went for a ride today too, just a short one to pick up some tequila, and cope. About 40 degrees here, within an a half hour of returning home it started to pour.

Whereabouts in Minnesota is this? I passed through your state last summer on Highway 1. Had a really good burger in Trail, grass fed I'm guessing then on to Bemidji to the Rutger Lodge. Headed north on 71 and came out on 1 at Illgen City on Lake Superior. Some fine turns on that last section of 1.

            Thanks for sharing the ride.
Good thing your speedo is broken because it looked like you might have gone 2-3 over the speed limit in a couple of places.

I really do need to have it looked at . My neighbors are a Deputy Sheriff and a MN State patrolman .

Must be bittersweet to go for a ride in Minnesota during November. Enjoy it while you can. Looks like a lovely road to go out for a quick ride.

One of the benefits of living in steamy Houston, is getting to ride in Fall and Winter. It's the payback for the horrid Summer that we just endured.

                        Thanks for the video.

It has been unusally warm up here as well. I was out in the boat yesterday.

                          Mezmorizing…

I liked it. Watched the whole thing.
The soundtrack is similar to what I hear during my rides. Except mine would be just a blues melody, left in my head from practice. No need for an ipod.

That was fun! You pegged that 85mph speedo. But just in case your interested here's one you'll have to do 140 to peg. It's from a '83 on
E-bay. I put one on my bike as I have one just like yours.
