I've never tried to wheelie my 850G. I guess a semi-rational rear of the forks shattering upon setting it down kinda steered me away...

For curiosity's sake I'm guessing you clutched it up as opposed to just using the motor to do it?

well i didnt wanna bring it way up...due to the weight and age of the bike..

an yes i clutched it up...WITH weak clutch springs at that lol...i ordered new ones today so im sure it will do it even better

but i am gonna look for a old cbr or something for a stunt bike now lol

Yeah I hear ya, I'm also on the hunt for a cheap stunter.
It seems like anything Mid-90's are pretty cheap right now.

Not sure how much better they'll be than the 500lbs GS tanks, lol.

the early cbrs(94-95 style) are really good for wheelies i head...but id love to find a 95 style gsxr ...but i wouldnt stunt it lol...well maybe a lil

Not true.

Can't tell you how many times the front wheel was up on my FULLY-DRESSED KZ1300, and a couple times on my Voyager 1300.

And this was out of a 650, which is about 100 pounds lighter.

Not to mention the fact that, around my neck of the woods, lifting the front wheel and having it observed by an officer, will get you a "Reckless operation" citation, which will come rather close to losing your license.

Doug Domokos, known as the wheelie king, often dragged tail light on a KZ1300. I think his old record of a 145 mile wheely was on a KZ1300. There isn't much evidence that shaft drive bikes can't wheelie.

Oooooooooon the other hand, I remember taking my then one-month old Benelli back to the shop many years ago, complaining that the clutch was slipping. I was horrified when the mechanic did a wheelie in the parking lot and came back, saying, "It seems OK to me."

My only thought was "THAT'S MY BIKE!!!"
