I sent him an E-mail yesterday requesting an update.
Hoping that the ribs are much improved and sleepless nights are a fading memory at this point.

Hello all. Thank you for your concerns. I am doing fine, and pretty much completely recovered (other than a few spells of dizziness when I get up or lay down too quickly). Sorry, I have not logged into the site for some time. As soon as I was close to being back to normal, my wife went and broke her foot. It's been a challenging two and a half months to say the least (especially with twin two year old girls).
However, things are pretty much back to normal now. I have a wonderful support group of friends and family who were a tremendous help while me and my wife were out of commission.
It hurts to say this, but I will be giving up riding for the foreseeable future. If it was just me, I'd already have a new bike. However, I saw how tough it was for my wife with the kids when I was out of it. Also, the thought of those two little girls growing up without their father broke my heart. I just can't chance it right now.
Thank you to everyone here for your concern. It has been an honor being a part of this forum. There are some great people on here. I plan on checking in from time to time, so I don't plan on going away completely.

It was an engine lock up, which caused my rear wheel to lock up. There are two holes in my engines that mangled pieces of pistons and rings fell out of when I got the bike back. I have no idea what caused this (yes there was oil in the bike). I assume my lack of skills and ignorance in the mechanical side of things lead to my downfall. The engine is toast. The bike itself was actually in decent shape considering it went down on the expressway. I will post a few pics in the next few days.
