A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Worked for Animal Control here for 32 years, picked them up like that all the time! Even had to get one out of a passenger seat of a car, had went through windshield and landed in seat. terrylee:(

We have some transplanted Ibex out on the White Sands Missile test range here in Southern NM. Hiway dept had to put up a secondary fence along side the usual fence that runs along side the hiway. Only difference is this fence is 7ft tall. Yup those suckers can jump. A few years ago a fella on a Goldwing was heading home back to Las Cruces from the Aspen Fest Rally in Ruidoso. Yeah it was dark and anyone who knows this particular area watches for these animals. Well, poor dude didn't see this one that evening and hit it at 75mph, killed him and the Ibex ( they weigh in around 500-600lbs).

usually the deer are just standing around. not that hard to avoid. this one thought it could out run my brother on my 80 gs1000g. it was after dark and nailed him in a full out run, basically out of nowhere. here's my bro, he's a tough guy and takin it like a man. bike is pretty messed up, possibly fixable.

he was wearing gear. i don't even want to think about what he would look like if he wasn't.

Wtf!?

Wtf!?

early this am, my neighbour on his way too work got this one. that's 3 deer hits by people i know within a couple weeks.

him: nothing broken, on crutches with sprain.
his bike: 80 cb650, minor damage.
deer: back strips marinating and the rest in freezer.

i gotta admit i'm a bit paranoid about riding. the deer are really twitchy these days.

be careful out there.

Hope your bro is healing up nice......He seems to have a good attitude. The deer get pretty thick around here too. I hit one with my car in early summer. Bastids!

Getting to be that time of the year. Be careful out there everyone.

a serious motorcyclist...

a serious motorcyclist...

so here's my neighbor, about a week after hitting a deer. he still can't walk very well but he uses his bike and crutches to get around the neighborhood.

my brother is doing pretty good too. he got rid of the hand cast and most of the bandages. the leg cast will be around for a while though.

i rode home from a fracking informational presentation in the dark last night. i was a bit noivess and went pretty slow. it was a nice ride though, probably the last warm night for a while.

so my gixxerpunk kid hit yet another deer last week. that's two this year and 3 over his riding career. he didn't go down but the bike has a bunch of broken plastic.

many people have expressed an interest in purchasing or borrowing some of the obvious horse shoe he's carrying around.
