Well, if I meet Earl it's going to be without my "T". I've decided to leave her here in Delaware for the time being. She'll be in my garage, on center stand with a drip pan under her as well as hooked up to the battery tender.

I visited 3 places today...the dentist, my barber, and the bike shop. I might have a cracked tooth but hopefully the dentist shaved away my biting point that was causing the discomfort. My barber is getting married in Oct--she's been cutting my hair since I retired in 2011. And of course, I had to go by the shop that took care of my "T" before I started working on her.

It's nice to have this connection with this small town. When I got stationed here at Dover in 2006, I never thought it was going to be my "this is my home" base. It's turned out rather well and I'm happy here. My mother would like me closer to California (SoCal) but that hasn't come to fruition yet.

Oh well, heading to Florida this weekend. Another adventure begins but this time without my bike. I've realized the more important thing is to continue pursuing a better position within the company. Once I'm in, then I can have those nice luxuries we all dream about.

Okay, since you are leaving your bike in Delware for awhile. make sure you treat the gas with Stable or Lucas ethanol treatment. Fill up the tank, add the treatment and then ride your bike for a bit to get the treated gas into the carbs. Don't want that nassy ethanol gas to mess anything up. Put in on the center stand and take out the battery or at least disconnect it. Don't remember if you have a AGM battery, if you do, only need the battery tender on it for a bit. Doesn't need to on all the time. Might want to get one of those timers so it only comes on for and hour or two a day.

New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

        Thank Bill,

I won't have time to ride my bike or do anything but park her. I have many things to do and a short amount of time to do it.

The Forks need attention and I'm not going to ride my "T" until she's fully safe to ride again.

My job has priority right now...it looks to be in my favor to get my contract transferred to Jacksonville, FL--that's my goal. I'll keep you updated on this thread.

          Weekend in Jacksonville

I got the position in JAX. Went looking for an apartment this weekend...I think I found something real nice.

I'm on the second floor...so it will be difficult to do as I did in Alamogordo. My baby is hibernating and I do miss her.

The actuator arm on your clutch (at the cover) needs to be rotated counter clockwise a tooth on the spline. The cable should pull towards a 90° angle, not past it. That will lighten up the feel at the lever. Same thing with drum brakes

In looking back through the early posts and looking at the photos... I'd have to say no.

Thanks for the feedback. The tension isn't as bad as before...but I am concerned that I didn't buy OEM clutch cable. It took quite a bit of adjusting to get my clutch grip just right. I'll do an EVAL once I get back to Delaware.

You've looked at the clutch set up Bill and it looked fine, right? I can make more adjustments and validate the recommendations above.

Thanks for reviewing my thread. It's great to have documented history of the work done on my bike. Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah from what I saw of your clutch arm etc, everything looked good, no problems in shifting either.

                          Till The End Of Time

It's been almost a year since I posted on here. Still have no bike in JAX but I have taken up surfing! I told one of my worker friends and he jokingly said, "That was an Impulse Buy, wasn't it?"

I'm like, "Dude!, why you raining on my parade?" (You have to know this guy's personality and how he comes across at work) Anyway, my other buds were cool with it...at least they were considerate enough to be tactful in their replies.

Anyhow, I'm still looking at other options within my career field. I love the area for its beaches and local breweries. My trek to work on the other hand, can seem fretful at times. I feel a song coming on...by the CLASH: Should I Stay or Should I Go
