Interesting to hear Ryan conversing like a normal human with another human, and not in his snarky "presenter" voice.

And that was indeed well-spotted; I didn't see the GS at all the first time through.

      Very thought-provoking video, too.

That's Ken of Kenco here on Vancouver Island.....great guy and I have bought many things from him over the years.....his shop is like stepping back in time. So cool that Ryan came over here to do this.....Ken has been getting a ton of attention (free advertising) since this came out the other day. Good for him

I can't not see that tail cowl. I'm pretty sure it's the same as my 1000G.

Yikes. Not how someone wants to see a classic GS. More importantly how are you?

I am uninjured!! The bike needs really not that much, either. a new brake lever and throttle tube, new tires and brake pads, and a new ignition advancer, Dyna ignition plate, and that right side crankcase cover.

oil cooler hose failed on the front straight and pumped oil all about my bike and the track. It’s good that I’m ok but my conscience rests easy knowing that nobody else went down because of it. Perhaps because they saw the giant smoke trail I was leaving for the 300ft before the corner….!

I'm glad you at least got some epic pics out of that. That smoke cloud is downright impressive.

Road closure had me take a section of road I don’t often go.
Saw this in far corner of parking lot at industrial place, on Saturday night.
                            IMG_2024-08-25-153824.jpg
                            82 GKZ
looked complete (except for mirrors). Was a lot to be impressed by.
wasn’t many other vehicals in parking lot, and some overhead doors were open. I thought of walking around as see if get anyone’s attention. But I was late for an “appointment”
(can see sunset color reflected in rear brake disc.)

maybe I’ll go that way more often in evening. Would be intersting to meet and chat with owner.

also I should look into if I can print some more GSR cards.

                            >>later note: before anyone says that saying 82 GKZ is redundundundant. No, it’s not, because i am saying it’s an 82 GKZ not an 82 GK2 (late 82 that looks more like an 83 or 84).

Hey! I think this could be the GK I saw there a couple years ago.

. I am quessing that to be a homemade replacement windscreen.

Hum... all there GS sightings were 1982s.

Man, GK's just come out of the woodwork up there.

That does look like the one you previously posted though with the front fender guard and additional lights under the fairing.

I forgot to mention in another post, thanks for breaking down the difference between GKZ and GK2. I do notice this one has the typical foot pegs and not the fatty floorboard looking ones like mine.
