Awesome weekend with a awesome lady

My GSR friend Cheryl from Maryland came to visit me this weekend. She arrived in Youngstown in rainy weather so going for a motorcycle ride was out of the question. We made the best of it . We drove threw Mill Creek Park the fall foliage was nice. We then decided to go to downtown Y-Town to get a beer. After a couple of beers and a nice dinner we then had evening of fun at the comedy club. Sunday the weather was sunny but chilly (41degrees) so after a good breakfast we decided to go for a "blast"on the GS. I pulled the bike out, it fired right up. (It loves the cool weather) We only went for about a 10 mile ride, but it was a very spirited 10 miles. The bike was running great and wanted to go! After we got back to my house, I was pushing the GS back into it's garage, I said "that was fun wasn't it" Cheryl said yeah, I said,"oh,I was talking to the bike"

Norm's GS1100. This makes my bike look like trash, lol. His bike is so clean and shiny!

      Awesome view at the park.

Had a great time with Norm again.

We made the best of it .
          and I'll bet you did

Before becoming a settled down old fart, several of my relationships were "long distance" where we only saw each other on weekends and holidays. Nothing like a bit of separation to keep the fires burning. I always made the best of it at every opportunity

          Ah, to be young again!

Thanks for bringing back the memories.

            Thanks for posting.

Seems like this story could use a photo of you two.

Thank you Petexotic for your compliment on my motorcycle. Yes, the brake stay is a custom part I made. I also made the chain tensioners, engine mounts, exhaust flanges and a few other parts. The engine is a nice combination of 1166cc 10.5:1 pistons, street/strip cam shafts, 33mm Mikuni carburetors, with a Star racing exhaust header. The machine is a lot of fun to ride. With the cool temperature Sunday the bike ran great, pulled real hard. Cheryl can attest to that. We had a blast... Oh and her comment of her bike looking like "trash," compared to mine, it don't look that bad. I'll have it looking good for next spring.
