What I've been up to lately :)

Been some time since I last posted here, I also promised you guys more pics of the scenery here so in stead of posting many topics I'll sum it up in one

Round trip with a friend of mine, up a mountain down the oterside, riding out a fjord and a ferry trip over and back home again 160k's and the bike performed flawless...

See? Harleys and metrics do get along

6.june is national motor day, a day for all who is interested in cars, bikes etc to show their interest to the public. Great turnout of bikes

I put on some yellow film and black tape on the GS for the ocation

      Have since removed the tape

Yesterday I started to swap out the old carpets in my datsun 280z and found some loose change and a shopping list, also found two mountain dew bottle caps and gas receipt from los angeles

And the biggest news of them all perhaps, I bought a new bike...
I found a real cheap 2005 Suzuki M800 Intruder for sale online, it was near by so I went to check it out. I was absolutely positively surpriced as the pictures didn't do it justice. This thing was clean as a whistle. And for the price, with all the extras and only 12000km's on the odo I couldn't resist, a lot of bike for the money. So I'm picking it up this weekend.

Also I removed the carbs on the gs a couple of weeks ago and adjusted the floats and gave it a quick clean with brake cleaner and since then it has never ran so good. It starts real easy, it even starts without choke sometimes, it starts first time around even after sitting for several days(which it never did before) and after adjusting the mixture I am now getting around 200km's out of a tank before having to switch over to reserve, before I couldn't get more than around 160 and it also fouled the plugs... No such problems anymore! So all in all just good times here in my part of the world

Great pics. The M800 is a really nice cruiser, and yes, pics of the Z Car, please. Those are too cool to miss.

Lovely pictures. Always to see a ride in another country. One of the coins looks like a 10 cent piece from the 1930 or 40's with a picture of Mercury on it. It's a silver coin. Well it's either that or a Canadian coin. I get Mercury and Elizabeth II mixed up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_dime

              Well spotted Charlie,

Unfortunately, that's our monarch Spiff has found.

A Mercury Dime would have been a very cool find, though.

For me and the missus And for when I just wanna cruise, the GS is more of a "funrun" bike for ripping up the twisties and brawling through town, altough the M800 is pretty agile too compared to most cruisers

Picked it up today, drove about an hour home. The windshield needs to go or get lower, or higher! Probably need to experiment a little bit. It is creating some nasty buffeting at the helmet at highway speeds the way it is now...
