Took my red 1000G out for the first time since last summer
This bike is stored in my mother's garage in Anaheim. I took the cover off it and it looked great. It has been my practice to drain the carbs or run it with the vacuum line to the petcock plugged until it won't run any more even when choked. It fired right up after a prime. I rode it over to Donut Derilicts yesterday morning. The most interesting bike there was a turbo B-King. Interesting cars included, a supercharged Studebaker Grand Turismo, a Kaiser 4 door sedan, and the usual rods, lakesters, and '55, 56, and '57 GM cars. There was a Pontiac version of a Chevy Nomad. I don't think I had ever seen one before. There was a nice original '51 Ford. Sorry, no photos Forgot my phone.

Those are the other 1000Gs. One in Maine, one in Oregon. I've gotten rid of the old loaner fleet except for one 850G with 10,000 miles. I'm down to these three and a Skunk. One of the black Gs has a 1983 1100G engine, and it is peppier than the others. I like that for under 2 grand you can have a comfortable good looking bike with luggage that is ready to cross continents.sigpic Too old, too many bikes, too many cars, too many things
