Bike got hit and run... '83 GS850G

Stopped at a friend's apartment and parked where his Harley normally would be (Wasn't due to being in shop).
Maybe four minutes after sitting down, we heard a crash outside. After a brief joke about it "Better not be my bike" my face goes pale and we run out to see the old girl on her side almost under the bumper of a 2015 Chevy Equinox. After a lot of yelling and running to the bike and picking it up, she backs into it again as I'm trying to get the kickstand down. I am still trying to track that dumb bitch down, the local law enforcement is "doing their best".. I still ride it every day but my mirror is broke, bars are bent slightly, and bags scratched. Just sharing!

This is where I'm guessing the bumper hit and knocked it over.

Sounds like you have a description of the vehicle and the driver, hopefully you also have the license number?

Keep an eye open for that vehicle in the area, but don't take matters into your own hands, call the cops and report what you found. Let them handle it.

Real sorry to hear about this, can't imagine the frustration. So the lady hit your bike, was still there when you came down, hit your bike again while you were actually with it and THEN left the scene?

              That stinks, Joe.
Seeing as you were in his spot any chance your buddy with the Harley is having trouble with an ex? haha.

I got her insurance info now, the local cops finally pulled through for me. Now I just wait for the claim to be processed!

It is never good to have your bike damaged, but it looks like this ends in the best way possible.

Mine was supposed to be rebuilt last winter but money got scarce. This winter she's getting done up though. I might even have a parts bike coming!

Also, nice try, I prefer the GD over the GL

A week ago last Saturday I stopped for gas along the interstate in Columbus, Oh and decided to get a cup of coffee. After filling up I pulled the bike into an out of the way parking spot knowing I'd be there for a bit to drink it. When I came out there was an Audi backing up close to my bike and sure enough the idiot hit my bike and knocked it over breaking the rear turn signal where it hit and the brake lever when it went down. The guy was apologetic enough and of course the catch all phrase of "I didn't see it" was used. After I threatened to see to it that his anus would be enlarged by a size 14 hiking boot due to his lame excuse he took off. Couldn't really call that a hit and run BUT I'd considered calling the cops anyway. After careful consideration I did my best with some gorilla tape on the light and a wrench zip tied to what was left of the brake lever and hit the road, the coffee was left on his windshield.

Damn, that sucks.. Lucky for me nothing broke besides the mirror glass, so I was able to keep riding it to work.

Even then, I fixed it with silicone and a blind spot mirror lol
