I'm still a NOOB so the only occupants of the stable have been:

    1. 1996 Honda Rebel 250 for a few months until traded for #2;
    2. 2002 Honda Spirit 750 that is frequently ridden when weather permits;
    3. 1981 Suzuki GS650G with Vetter fairing, bags, and trunk. This bike actually moved in first, but my brother and I have pretended to paint it. Body pieces ae mostly redone with spray cans. Looked pretty good before I dropped the tank and buggered it all up! Frame is still on the skanky side. Needs new shocks and a Pingel before I want to do anymore distance riding. Still, she is loads of fun--I hope to have her out on the road more in the near future.

Rarely post, but I love reading what you more informed folks have to say!

      6. 1982 Yamaha XT550 (dual purpose)
      7. 1995 Honda CB1000 (the "Big one"; lousy power for 1000cc)
      8. 2000 Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja (current, seldom ridden)
      9. 2002 Kawasaki ZRX-1200 (current, always ridden, big grin factor)
      10. 1983 Suzuki GS1100ED (current, classic looks, Apogee UJM!)

The GS is the first roadworthy bike, but I've had a 72 Yamaha DT250, I tried to fix it and it ended up like this.

        a 78 Yamaha XS400

and a 70 Yamaha 250, I don't even know what model it is though

I sold the DT on e-bay 2 days ago, and I'm trying to sell the XS and the 70 Yamaha now 8)

          Well, I'm up to five bikes now? XS400, DT175, a 77, 79, and 80, gs550e's.

would you believe I am STILL discovering Effing PO problems with my bike. Despite a complete teardown and rebuild...
You'd have to be crazy to be sane in this world -Nero
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back....... You probably highsided.
          1980 GS550E (I swear it's a 550...)
          1982 GS650E (really, it's a 650)
          1983 GS550ES (42mpg again)
          1996 Yamaha WR250 (No, it's not a 4 stroke.)
          1971 Yamaha LT2 (9 horsepower of FURY.)

Had an early 80s CR250, sold it for cheap to get rid of it
Had an 82 GS400EZ, loved it and sold it to my brother
Have an 81 GS1100EX, love it but want to find a second lighter bike to keep around

My son and his friend found a Kaw in the trash that ended up looking like that. I made him put it back in the trash after nearly a year of taking up space in my garage.

                Right then, my bikes:

                1. (year?) Yamaha DX 100. Not really a motorcycle, but we all have to start somewhere.
                2. 1976 Kawasaki z400. Great little bike, went everywhere on this thing.
                3. 1981 Yamaha XJ550 RH. Reliable, ran it into the ground.
                4. 1979 Suzuki GS1000S. Selling it was the greatest mistake of my biking life.
                5. 1989 Kawasaki GPz900R. Value for money, and then some.
                6. 1989 Kawasaki GPz900R. After I wrote-off the previous GPz!!
                7. 1981 Suzuki Katana 1100. The atonement for selling the GS1000S.

My intention is to stick with the Katana long-term. It has cost me enough in repairs so I may well have to...

                Mike.

8 bikes. In the order I had them.

1980 Harley-Davidson FXS 80 Lowrider (still getting therapy over this thing)
traded POS Harley for an '81 Mazda B2000 P/U (getting married again, needed 4 wheels)
23 year gap due to lack of funds, but mostly wife afraid for my safety
1993 BMW K75 in 2004 (on the road again!)
                        1982 Suzuki GS450TX in 2004
                        2001 Suzuki GSF1200S in 2004

2005 sold BMW for no particular reason

Wife happy about it. I don't understand her.

Tried to get the order correct, but my memory of the 60's-80's is somewhat cloudy (not sure why  )
Last 3 still in current stable and ridden as much as possible.

Most fun would be more difficult; I liked riding the XL175 to the trails and then riding the trails, the Can Am was incredibly fast but bad suspension, it was a blast blowing away 750 4's on the RD350s. The XS650 was great around town, light and handled very well. Probably the bike I liked the least was the Honda CB450. Very boring, did nothing exceptionally well, but nothing bad. Just a boring bike, especially after owning an RD350. The T500 Titan was an awesome machine for its time, reliable, quick, and economical.
