    Anthony Carrigan

Probably noone here knows him but he was a member here back maybe 10 years or so. I had met him in 2010 when i first moved to Texas. He had a good stable of GSXRs and we got to be fast friends. We rode a lot of the backroads and i really enjoyed the twisties and TRYING to keep up with him. He had ridden these trails for most of his life and i was at the disadvantage.
One day i met his dad Roy and he told me he had been a tech, at of all places, right here in Norman Oklahoma. I had no idea at the time i would eventually land here myself. Roy wanted to feel me out i guess so one day Tony, him and me went riding, Tony led and i was in the middle with Roy bring up the rear. We were headed to thier favorite burger joint. I was on the Cooley for that run. When we got there Roy came to me and smiled and said well kid i guess your good enough to ride with us. I was proud because i considered them to be way better twistie masters than me..not realizing they were vets on these roads and i was slamming the bike without any previous knowledge. Apparently it was impressive enough for Roy.
Im really picky about who throws a leg over one of my bikes and they both were given that trust. Some of you may remember my thread about how Roy just treasured his 78 1000E he sold when the family was just beginning to have money. Me and Tony conspired to get him one and i did the restoration and we surprised Roy with it.
Well last night at 625 i got a text with Tony Carrigan on the caller ID. I answered and it was Roy. Roy texted that he had just got word that Tony had commited suicide and hed have details later. Im shocked and still cant fully process what the hell drove him to this. Please take a few seconds to send a thought and a prayer to Tonys family.

NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
