Back on topic. 50 and 250 between Bedford and Brownstown. Not good roads near SW Ohio. Just thought I'd ask a native if there was an alternative.

Well, I wasn't actually proposing we try it. Finding a route sounds like a good excuse for a day trip or two, but I don't want to try it on a day when I'm really just trying to get somewhere, at a time of year when you have higher-than comfortable odds of getting rained on. It's probably not even worth it.

I think I'm pretty good to go! Need to get the bike out of mothballs though...
Here's a nice little ride I plan on taking to Bedford, the eastern part is pretty good, could be modified for a few more local roads that are good too as this was for just catching as many as I could on the way to Bedford.

Jim,
One quick recommendation on your route, since you are looking to add as many twisties as possible to your route. On Harrison Ave, take a right on West Road (near Miami Whitewater Park) and follow that to Dry Fork (taking a left on Dry Fork after that stretch will get you back to your original route). That's a pretty fun little stretch of road that I ride pretty often.
