Since we live so far away and since I loved reading your stories about american road trips I thought it would have been a good idea to open a thread where I could share with you pictures and stories about my trips around Italy and Europe.

It was a great day Saturday so I decided to take the Guzzi out for a ride around the Ligurian Appenine Mountains, about 1 hr and half south of Milan.
The GS still needs a bit more maintenance to be ready for The Road.

I really enjoyed the ride as the road that takes to the top of the mountain runs uphill from the sea and a 350cc bycilinder is a lot of fun up these roads.

But I like Piero Taruffi's The Technique of Motor Racing much more.

Too cool! I always wanted to tour Europe, but my career in the Navy was always on the West coast of the US, so I toured the Far East, Middle East, got to Australia once, and up in the Siberian Sea way too many times.

Very cool! The scenery there is beautiful. I've made it over to Europe a few times, but never with a bike, and never to Italy. Next time I find myself over there I'm gonna find a bike too.

Never traced the Mille Miglia on a motorbike but I did it with a car (yes I'm a car fan too )

The bike is actually a Moto Guzzi V35 III produced from 1985 to 1990, it's quite rare because it's a very heavy motorbike and the line of the previous model was ruined by the squared windshield

For a true NA adventure start at Cape Spear in NL and go to Baja.
We could all help you on the way.

Nobody really wants to ride from NY to LA, just not an interesting route. And, the whole Route 66 thing can be depressing

850 Combat and his brothers rode GSes from Tillamook, OR to central Maine in 2009. He just didn't take any photos, tho. Lots of interesting roads across the top of the country

Sharpy's from Australia and he bought a GS from a member and has now participated in a US rally. We had Drew come in from London,UK at the last WSR last year.

Fly over and attend a rally! That's a good start
