    EB/I-80 through Nebraska--construction?

Hey, I'm currently in Denver for the evening, leaving for Chicago suburbs tomorrow morning.

Has anyone been on I-80 through Nebraska recently? I have some friends out this way who took I-80 about six weeks ago and said that there's some really obnoxious construction through most of of Nebraska and parts of Iowa.

Would I be better advised to take I-70 east instead, at least through Kansas City and then cut north?

The USDOT and other websites that contain interstate construction information are cryptic at best, so I have no clear indication on what condition the highway is in.

    Information? Suggestions?

According to Nebraska's website, http://www.511.nebraska.gov/atis/html/index.html, it looks like there's a ton out there. Just click on the link and select construction on the left side of the window that pops up.

Doesn't look like I-70 is a whole lot better, looks like I'm gonna just take I-80 and take it easy.

Ahh, okay. Well, too bad you aren't sticking around for awhile, I'd say pop south to Colorado Springs for a few hours and we could hang out.
