Well we have moved on through Yellowstone and are in South Dakota 100 miles west of badlands. The gs550 got a flat yesterday which we topped off with my slime pump (life saver) and managed to find a tube in the next city over. The chain on the 550 is also way beyond its wear limit an is eating the sprocket so we're stuck here for a couple days while we try to find/order a new one. Looks like Amazon is going to be the quickest option even given all the bike shops in rapid city/ sturgis.
Yellowstone and Wyoming were great and so is South Dakota so far. I guess we're here for the eclipse. Will post more pictures later but here's bright and early in Montana

Here's one from the badlands. We're in Chicago right now been a very busy crazy few of days with lots of riding and cold hard nights camping. I'll give a good update in a couple days with pads of pictures when we're back in ma. 1,000 miles to go after six weeks on the road and sleeping outside pretty much everyday - we're pretty beat. Hope to be back in 2 days.

Well we made it back! A couple of days ago actually but I've been decompressing. About 9,500 miles and six weeks total and both bikes are doing well...for the most part.
I'm getting all my pictures developed and then I'm going to go back and give a more detailed summary/pictures of the trip since my internet access and posting was pretty scarce while we were gone.
