Yah, Jedz, They do stuff like change lanes without looking., or maybe did look but cant see, or maybe cant turn head enough....... but I experienced that more than once.

Or stuff like when they are turnining into a parking lot they turn in way wide into the other lane, maybe is too much effort to turn the steering wheel a little more.

Also a lot of tourist that are not familiar with the area, not knowing where they are going, and looking around, then abruptly stopp.... which can be a problem if you are following them and not knowing where you are going and are looking around.

Thanks All for the words of advise but I like to believe I safely put 25K miles on in a season for a reason. I'm very aware and defensive in my riding style and habit (although I do often post when I break the mold ). I do MSF based courses every year to ensure my basic of skills are always sharp, although this trip will be before my first class which is on the weekend of the April 27th.

I will be with escort about 80% of the miles ridden so I'll be sure to be honed in on my riding partners.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to keep these pointers in mind.

        Best,

I finish packing and load up tonight. I will be leaving Vermont at 2PM tomorrow after work and be driving as longs as I can straight down. My GPS is saying 19 hours and I'm going to factor in a few hours of sleep and traveling 10mph above the speed limit (except in VA where I will strictly abide to the speed limit). I should arrive around noonish in Port Orange Wednesday where I'll unload the bike and nap. Ride some Wednesday afternoon then get a good nights rest and hit the pavement hard Thursday. I'm booked with +300 miles rides every day. So Hoping to grab a few thousand miles by the time I head back North on 16th. Then a couple more weeks of winter crapyness and than hopefully I can start riding everyday.

Looking forward to meeting up on Sunday! Details are still in the works for I'm working with my Grandparents still to finalize plans...

I'm sooo excited for nice warm riding weather!!!

FYI I woke to this and am SO glad that I'm leaving!!! Threw my neighbor a 30 rack of beer to plow out my fiance when I'm gone.

Tell us how many other H-Ds you see in trucks and on trailers and how many enclosded trailers with H-D emblems you see going south.

                            I did see allot!

So I pulled the bike off the truck and turn the key an nothing...

Then I went through the winter storm from Delaware to Virginia...

So nice to see some new trees.

Rolled in and it was nice to see the gorgeous weather... 20 hour ride.

Unloaded the bike and... Dead. The Harley was dead on arrival. No power to the ECU, only some of the lights were working...

4 hours later after the 20 hour drive:

Burned out main harness, to popped relays and and an issue with the main switch... Some hot-wiring and switch repair and the bike is running... I'll be going for a good ride. to the Yamaha dealer!
