Less than a month to go, folks!

              A reminder:

              - The rooming list at the Rosemount is FULL. If you are on the rooming list but can't make it, PLEASE let me know ASAP and PDQ so I can squeeze in someone else.

              - If you would like to get on the waiting list, please let me know.

              Also:

              - It's been a CRAPPY, wet, cold spring and many of y'all are WAY out of practice with an inch of barn dust on your GS. Please get out as much as you can and scrape the barnacles off your skills before hitting the southern Indiana twisties. There's a strict "no crashing" rule in effect this year...

              - Let's see how many GS motorcycles we can get to show up! I and several others I've spoken with who have a choice of bikes are planning to choose a GS this year. I ride a different bike to this rally much of the time, and of course no one really cares what you ride, but I think it would be neat to have a majority of vintage Suzukis once again if possible. Again, just a suggestion; if you have a choice, and your GS is in good reliable shape, hey, consider choosing the GS for this trip.

Looking forward to this but still haven’t gotten either bike running yet as I’m spending too much time getting the shop in order. Hopefully one will get on the road by Memorial Day

Speaking of knocking the rust off, I found a YouTube channel that actually gives good advice and suggests good exercises a rider can do on their own to develop skills. The videos start at the basics and cover fairly advanced street riding techniques. https://www.youtube.com/@MotoControlEn/videos

There is some good info in there about how to do U-turns that I want to try. I want to develop that skill much further than I have.

I'm on my way to Bedford, I left Friday morning (in the rain).
I did the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway yesterday. I got through it all before the rain.
I'm at the Barbor motorcycle museum/ Moto-America race now... Beautiful weather day.
See you guys at the Rally!

Come on guys, you know I don't like to brag...
But the Big K-16 was the KING of interstate 10 today!
It made Texas look like Rhode Island! With the 80mph speed limit.
I don't think It was passed all day...

I've actually ridden a K16 (Neil had one for a moment), and yep, the amount of smooooooooth power, comfort, and doodads to play with can only be described as "ludicrous". It's a starship.

Less than two weeks to go! Can't wait to see you and the rest of the gang!

REMINDER TO ALL: Please let me know if your plans change or if you have any questions about lodging.

And please GET OFF THE COMPUTER RIGHT NOW AND GO RIDE A WHOLE BUNCH. It's been a really lousy spring, so we're all kinda behind on miles. Scrape the rust off your skills before the rally.
