Cool occurrence a few weeks back. Someone was driving down I-75 and saw an XS11 then snapped a picture to send a buddy who owns one. They recognized the picture from an XS11 repair forum and sure enough it was me!

We're having beautiful weather for MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE! rain rain rain!
New tires, brakes, oil change and a good cleaning for the Z-900rs.

I'm doing something a little different this year. Rich and I are going to trailer are motorcycles to the rally.
No need to put wear and tear on the cycles. Plus I don't think I could ride the Kawasaki 421 miles!
      My Motorcycles:
22 Kawasaki Z900 RS (Candy Tone Blue)
22 BMW K1600GT (Probably been to a town near you)
82 1100e Drag Bike (needs race engine)
81 1100e Street Bike (with race engine)
      79 1000e (all original)
      82 850g (all original)
      80 KZ 650F (needs restored)

I bought a new lightweight folding camp chair. Came today. Quality seem good, and it fits nicely in a pannier.

Less than three weeks to go!

This Olde Suzuki shindig has been in danger of turning into a Yamaha or Triumph rally at different points. BMWs are fairly common, Kawasakis less so, and a few Honda Gold Wings have appeared now and again. There might have been a vintage Honda once or twice. And IIRC a few friends on Harleys have popped up.

As I always say, we're not organized enough to keep anyone out, so ride whatever you want. Some regulars haven't even owned a Suzuki GS in many years; they're just here for the high-quality hangout.

Anyhoo, a few items of business:

              - I currently have one rider on the rooming waitlist. If life begins to intrude, and you find that you can't be 100% sure that you can make it, PLEASE let me know ASAP and PDQ. You should have my email, brian@bwringer.com . (Please do NOT try to use the forum's messaging system for anything important. It has... issues.)

              - Generally, I always seem to get a few cancellations in the last few weeks. However, if you are one of the people on the waiting list, you may want to consider making a backup lodging plan soon. Experiences with the Mark III up the street are... mixed. Very mixed. But there are several chain hotels in Bedford, so it might not be a bad idea to book a room just in case. If you do this, make SURE you book directly through the hotel's website (not a janky reseller like Expedia, Trip.com, Booking.com, etc) AND make VERY VERY sure you book a room you can cancel the same day or the day before, not the cheaper pre-paid rate you can't cancel.

              Availability still looks pretty good:

I bought a couple chair very similar to these last year. Work really well, and pretty comfortable.

Bike is ready to go! Just going to change the oil at some point. Maybe get to that today? Hmmm... Don't have anything better to do in the rain.

I'll be interested to see if you can get back out of it. There are definitely some events where it would be nice to have a seat at the end of the day.

Unfortunately my daycare is closing that week unexpectedly and we are running into child care gaps. I will need to stay here in Vermont that weekend now.
In a few years she will be big enough to bring with me. I'll get back out there, super challenging with the little one.
                          Thanks,
