Took advantage of a rainy day and gave the GPz a going over, good thing as I decided to do an oil change and check the air filter. It's a wicked PIA to get to, the tank has to come off, fuel lines removed, and sure enough I had a big mouse nest in the airbox. Filter was deteriorated.

Unfortunately dudes I will likely have to bow out now. Work has thrown some wrenches my way for Friday, I am now leading and organizing my buddy's memorial ride Saturday and parents that we haven't seen for 6 months are rolling into town asking to see their new grand kid.

Count me as a maybe at this point. Scott I'll pay for the spot but will likely not make it.

      Cheers.

After a whirlwind trip to Minnesota, Brenda and I are frantically reorganizing our gear for rally. We will be leaving tomorrow night, spending the night about 1/2 to catch up with some family Thursday morning and then taking a nice ride through the ADK to Coolidge. Bringing extra coolers and ice, BFW(explain later), chairs, truck and trailer. If anybody needs anything else I can bring, let me know.should arrive early afternoon, Ride safe fellas…

Don't worry Justin - Lyle is coming and needs a spot for him and the misses.

Family. My father was born in Good Thunder. His older and last surviving sibling lives in Brainerd. Plus several cousins scattered about. Not to mention it’s a beautiful state to visit. Plan to go back again in July.

Awesome, glad it will work out Scott! I will try to stop in and visit, maybe Saturday after the memorial ride.

Thank you to all - we had another successful (and relatively uneventful*) motorcycle camping rally at Coolidge State Park. Weather was extra nice for September with no rain at all (once we got there). We also had the chance to support Justin's "Jack Daley Memorial Ride" which we did, meeting some of the friendly local riders on a normal paced ride around the Lake Champlain area. This year, Brenda & Andy treated everyone to an amazing steak dinner Saturday night - thank you again you two!! And everyone got home safely.

I'll try to get the Pavillion next year (at Coolidge) for the 20th consecutive Northeast Rally (and I'll also try to get Lily Bay where this all started, just in case I get lucky with the reservation line). I hope to see you all again soon!!

                      * Andy's truck needed an emergency U joint replacement, and Justin's Bonnie ingested some air filter foam and completely blacked out but thankfully only needed a cleaning

Thanks Scott for setting this up! Great job, great weather and as always great friends!
On a side note, after 15 years of trying, the weather finally cooperated and I rode the bike up the Mt. Washington auto road! What an experience, very narrow and cars like to hog the road.

Well that was fun. Got home last night. So much good food from B. and Andy. Also a fun little adv ride with Andy on the R250GZ. And thank you Scott. Don't forget your bike next year...

I do have a couple pictures to post. Later.

I guess we didn't read the fine print. I might actually see about getting a permit for this area some time. Looks interesting.
