    82-83 katana 1100

    Hey guys, ladies!
I'm restoring two kat's , currently searching for the 12 pin speedo connector , I'm missing the male off the wiring harness, any ideas on where to find it would be great. I did see it on Webike out of Japan but with shipping etc it would cost me $50.
    Thanks

Thanks! I am going to use a kat speedo on a different bike. I thought I would have to make my own. THAT would be interesting considering my skill level...

      Hi Wayne,
Nice to hear of a couple of Kats coming back to life. I don't have a spare connector or harness for you, but I checked with some parts houses and neither are available through Suzuki anymore. Amazing how many parts are still available through Suzuki. You might get lucky searching for a 12 pin connector and adapt it, otherwise I think the only way to find one is on the end of another harness (probably more than $50 too.)
There is a Katana forum in Ontario, Classic Katanas of North America - you might get lucky with one of the members there.
      Good luck with the restoration!
      Scott

Thanks Scott, I'm on that forum also and have been in contact with the owner Ted Cymbaly, he has about 50 katana's but is not fond of letting go of anything. But thanks again, I can always adapt a different connector.

What John Kat says, I use him all the time, typically pretty quick delivery.
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.
