    1980 GS450L Petcock Vacuum Line

I recently picked up a GS450L and I’m trying to revive it from its 25 year hibernation. I’ve read that these bikes are vacuum fed their fuel and on my petcock there is what appears to be a vacuum line separate from the gas line. Ive searched every forum and through my manual and I can’t seem to figure out where if it connects to the carb or connects to anything. Some direction on this would be helpful.

The pics are gone from this page, but maybe it'll help.

Poke around on bwringer's site and find tons of useful stuff.

Go through these links. The Blog/Site is being transferred from one to the other. Some link and PDF files dont work on one but does on the other.

Scroll down to the bottom section, right hand side and there is a PDF file for the dismantling/rebuilding of the GS450L BS34SS carbs

Your carb has the vacuum barb on the left side of the left carb.

I really appreciate all the help! Thanks guys!

It appears that mine doesn’t have that barb. There’s a hole so I’m thinking maybe it plugs into that hole.

the previous owner really did a number on this thing haha but that’s half the fun!
