When first logging in, get an error message:
    Invalid Redirect URL (http://thegsresources.com/_forum/index.php)

I'm following up to this thread - I get the same warning every time I log in and try to get to the forum. Any solutions or work-arounds?

I haven't seen the issue ever as I bring up the main GS Resources page, click on the forum, then log in to the page that comes up when you click on that link. I wonder if you need to clear your cache.

Try adding the www. to your shortcut. To be totally correct it should look like this http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/index.php. The link you show should probably work but maybe it's not getting translated properly.

I sure am glad you don't see this incorrect path... do this Sandy, clear your cache and log in cold. You will see the same thing as I do. The reason is that it was set up incorrectly at some point and there are ways, like you have found to avoid seeing it and folks seldom log in cold with a cleared cache.

You are are correct. I cleared my cache, actually you have to delete the gsresources cookies, and get the result you mention when logging in without the www added to the url. I noticed also when you just google thegsreources the url also contains the www in it. With the proper url including the www I get the logon screen requesting my id and password as it should because I cleared the cookie for the GSR and a successful logon. Using the url you are I get the same redirection error you do. I really can't tell you why because the // only url format seems to work with most websites and obviously worked here too at some point. Maybe someone with a good working knowledge of websites or html can figure it out. The workaround I guess is to just include the www in the url for now. I'm using Win 7 Pro with firefox if that means anything but also tried it with IE11 (ugh) so it's site specific and not browser related.

I posted this issue weeks ago and I don't think the folks responsible for setting up the site have seen it. When you click the login button, a path is specified at start up and since it has two forums ( /forum/forum ) it is probably just corrupt and would only take a sec to fix. It isn't a big deal, only want the powers that be to be aware because it looks a bit... well never mind as my opinion doesn't matter on this but if it were my site, I would want to fix it.

Yeah I cleared my cache and still get it. Actually I got a brand new phone and today I logged in for the first time and still got the same error. I'm pretty good with mechanical stuff but web jargon is beyond me.

Ok I guess it's working - the 'WWW' is what is needed. Thanks for the help!
