I'd vote to leave it out of the "What's New" feed too. Sure I ignore the posts now, but I'd rather not have to see the contents of the scum pit while looking through more useful things.Dogma

How to get a "What's New" feed without the Vortex, and without permanently quitting the Vortex

Yes, we don't have to click but it's depressing to see all the garbage being posted day after day by the same people again and again.Ed

I agree with Nessism. I rarely log in, mostly I just lurk and read but when I do log in the inevitable "new post" feed is filled with quite an assortment of Vortex posts. I honestly don't know what the benefit of most of the subject matter is but to each his own I guess.

I'm looking for something interesting, something new, but half the posts are vortex crap. As stated it's always the same closed group of people, bickering and politely exchanging insults. Maybe 6 people. Find a life someplace else.1982 GS1100G- road bike

Why should those who engage in verbal jousting in an optional place in an interweb forum need to go to some other optional place in an interweb forum to engage in verbal jousting? The site was created by people who enjoy motorcycles, primarily of the Suzuki marque, but people in any public place will discuss all manner of things, and this oddball assemblage of characters is not easily replicated elsewhere."Thought he, it is a wicked world in all meridians; I'll die a pagan."

I clicked on "new posts" just now, there are 25 on the first page. Of that, 6 were in the Vortex. So it is not most or all, and honestly, the number is probably inflated due to the election. Seems like a pretty trivial thing to worry about, but maybe it is just me. Maybe I have real problems to worry about.Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

There has been talk in the past about getting rid of the Vortex all together but I'm not advocating that. I just think it need to be isolated a little further from the motorcycle site proper.
Just this morning, 9 hours or so since checking last night, 7 of the top 12 threads in the New Posts feed are Vortex. And this sort of feed is commonplace.Ed
