Trevor, go into the account settings and check if Avatars and signatures are both turned on. Also, I see you’re on the recent activity tab, where signatures and avatars disappear. Click on the POSTS tab, upper left of your screen.

I's just wanting to send Frank a thank you, up there in the announcement section, for doing this stuff, but there is no "post reply" anywhere on the page. There are thank you's there from other folks...Ya'll will get it figured relatively quick...me, this is gonn'a take a while.

Rphillips, I found the same. I found no way to reply to that other thread. The only reply I saw on it was from dpep and he’s a moderator, so that’s likely why only he cold post.

Maybe, but there is an earlier thread just below that one, "Latest upgrade is semi completed", that has 3 or 4 thank you's in it & there's no place for a reply there either....Dang it, the older I get the less I like change, especially when there was nothing wrong with the way it was....But still do appreciate Frank for being there for us.

            That explains a lot, Trevor.

You are using the "Latest Activity" tab, instead of the "Posts" tab.

I just click on "New Topics" in the upper left, and leave it on "Posts".

Not have trouble. Not really too much different, is differnt colors and fonts, but seems to be about same functionality..
                Seems to navagate okay.

Dont have a "todays post" but do have a "Recent Activity".
BUt, Is my observation correct....?.., in that the Recent Activity doesnt list posting activitys in the Campfire. (I didnt notice about vortex, cuz, well, I dont pay much attention there.) Maybe there is programming/logic about weither to list O.T. postings there. (O.T. being Campfire and Vortex.)

Oh, perhaps I should look and see if there is a prifile setting related to that.

"New Topics" in the upper left corner includes the off topic sections.

Got me when I post on new topics two threads come up and the layout thread is not one of them.
maybe this would be a good time for me to take a break. LOL

I've lost a few folders in which I'd kept some useful posts from others with information in them.
The 'filters' are rubbish, they don't stick and have to be chosen every time.
The threads are upside down - which is the most egregious of all.
Yay, the upside down threading fixed itself by ignoring the 'latest activity' button and choosing 'posts'.
                      Haven't a clue why, though.
I also seem, by default, to have automatically subscribed to every thread I've replied to in the past two years - 770 of 'em. Buggered if I'm going through all of them pressing 'unsubscribe'. They will eventually fall off the tree, I suppose.

AH, I interpert New Topic to be a New Thread that just started, but its not. It is what I would think of as New Posting (weiter to existing tread or new thread). THat is just me assuming too much based on what the name means to me.

But still wasnt finding all what I was expectiong to be there. THrough some testing it appears to me that it does show Campfire posting, shows all recent posting, with exception. I have gathered will list a posting that I have looked at (but then show in lighter font), but if I post to the thread then it doesnt show on the listing. I quess someone figgured that if I posted it, I dont need to see it in the listing.
NewTopic lists any new posting, except if is my posting.
                          Anybody confirm that?

                          If you wanna test it....
Look at New Topics, select one and go look at it, then hit New Topics again, see that it is still listed there (but lighter font),
then select that again or some other, ook at it and add a posting to the thread, then hit New Topics again, see if it is listed there (might then expect it to be near the top), but my observation is it will not be listed anywhere.

Dave, my observation is that after you click on a dark blue (has an unread post) thread in the NEW TOPICS list, then click back, that thread title turns to light blue (read[pronounced red]). It will remain light blue for a certain small amount of time, then will disappear from the NEW TOPiCS list when you refresh the page. If you make a new post in any thread, it will not then show up as a NEW TOPIC thread for you. That’s the same as before the update.
