I would mind that a lot but it isn't necessary. Just click on the little blue circle with the arrow in it that Bob has marked in the post above. That takes you past all of the previous posts in the the thread to the earliest one you have not read. If the circle isn't there for some reason just click on the two dots in the far right column of the post listings and that takes you to the last post in the thread from which you can scroll up a few to be where you left off on your last visit.

      LOL

It's interesting that everyone is having their own little battles with the new layout.

Still...it's good that pics are included to help others negotiate browsing...including me!

I'm generally finding my way around ok. I do miss, or haven't yet found, a spot for subscribed threads. That was my shortcut to get to older threads I wanted to post to.
I also found that to post a pic today, that I had to post the Flickr link directly into the main text box, not the url attacment area. Doing that said "invalid link".

Glen, subscriptions are in the Message Center

That's how I've always done it....Didn't know there was another way.
But it does explain why your flickr posts had the blue "http:" thing before the photo.

I still can't figure out what is going on with my subscriptions ..... I don't get a list like I used to ...... I get a group of about six posts that I can expand to thirteen and they aren't in any kind of order ..... They're not even the last ones that have had replies ...... It's just a random selection of my subscriptions ......

I just discovered that the method by which moderators are informed of flagged posts is different in the new version. That is the reason why several threads/posts by a likely bot named cheney got to stay around for a couple of days after some of you reported them. Now that we know where to look we should be back on track for prompt removal. If a spam post gets past 24 hours, there usually is something wrong.

This particular one was interesting. Cheney is gone now but its join date showed 7/14/21. Usually a spam poster's join date and first post are the same day. I can't imagine a bot or troll getting onto a site and then waiting 8 months before putting up its gibberish.

I just discovered that if you post a link by clicking on the link symbol on the toolbar and then later edit the post to remove that link, you can't. You can replace it with a different link but your post has to have a link; it will not save your edit changes without a link. Has anyone else experienced this?

Easy workaround. I won't be using the link symbol.for my links.

I just discovered that I can't remove old PMs. One or two will go, but the rest remain.

The " my subscriptions " feature is virtually useless . I haven't used it since the new layout started . Now I have to remember the category and then surf the list to find the thread I am subscribed to .... Hope they can fix it .....

Just tried to send a PM, but I never found the send PM button. I clicked on the guy I wanted to send it to but I never found anything that mentioned PM...I know I've done it before, many times.
