But the notifications do tell you who quoted your post. This might be new, as this morning was the first time I saw that.

The pages shown by both cowboy & rich, when I get this page up, the line where yours show Private Message & subscribe at the left, I presume that line has Filter at the far right if full page was shown. Mine only has the Filter at the far right, never anything at the left.

This probably not the issue, but on my phone I only see the left half of the screen in portrait mode. And it doesn't scroll right.
Need to rotate to landscape to see the whole page.

Just figured how to make changes to my acct. On my account page where it says email address, to the right it shows my email address (not in any kind of box), next line down is a boxed line & has my user name always there, bottom line is boxed in & asks to re-enter email. I just erased my user name from the middle line & put my email in there & also re-entered my email on the bottom line. Now all 3 lines have my email & I could make the change I wanted...Rechecked after changes but still no Private Message

I'm sure no computer guy, but while searching have found "edit signature". Click your name at top right of page, then user settings in the drop down, then account, then appx half way down that page you should see the edit signature thing.

So here's new one for me....just got this and had to wait 10 min before I could get in....lol...working great!

Hackers got into the database yesterday and were causing problems. It took all day to fix issues caused by this. I am still working on getting this website fixed and optimized after the recent major upgrades. Be patient...

What is & what would happen if I un-marked that vB messenger?

I believe that this is functionality built into the phone app from the vB folks. If you had the app installed and you got a PM it would alert you. I decided not to get the phone app when they wanted as much $$$ for the phone app as they did the forum software. I thought that was a bit crazy.

There also seems to be a bit of confusion about how to send a PM. If you click on the Messages at the top of the page, then Go To Message Center it will put you in the PM Message Center. This message center puts all your notifications and PM's in one area. From here you can go to your PM Inbox or Compose a new PM.

After deleting the vB messenger, I can now go to message center & create pm's. Still doesn't work like others do, click on user name & where it should say send private message still is blank. Thanks Frank & you too rich for verifying my pm.

Could someone explain how the new " my subscriptions " now works ? I find it useless to check on threads I am subscribed to .... I see a few subscriptions expandable to a few more and the ones displayed are not the most recent .... They are just a random selection .......

Correct, sorry, I don't know how to show a pic of what is on my screen. On mine, directly under the user pic & info top line says subscriptions, 2nd line says subscribers, 3rd line says Activities, About, Media ( no infractions like yours has) Then 4th line only has Filter at far right, nothing to the left. Don't know if this means anything but looks like in both your post 1982 GS400E Chain Slack & cowboyup post # 119, the form stuff is to the right of the user profile & info., on mine the form stuff is below the user profile.

What do you use to log in to the website with? A computer (desktop or laptop) or a phone/iPad/other tablet?
