I went to the dark side… sort of.
I bought a Harley. God help me middle age. 2008 XL1200N Nightster with a little less than 11,000 miles.
Non-runner but it was $800 including a spare stock exhaust, two fairings, 2 person factory seat, etc etc.

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

No doubt waaay better than in yrs. past, but still get the jokes... 81% of Harleys ever produced are still on the road today... the other 19% made it home without breaking down.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. I actually like the look of the classic Sportsters but they are too small for me physically and I wouldn't find the performance acceptible. And as we all know the loud, obnoxious, slow ones ridden by pinheads give them all a bad rap. A person would be crazy not to have taken that deal though.1986 1150EF
