I still can't find that Tennessee Sippin' Whiskey, that a friend gave to me, and was probably 40 years old. It tasted like water, till the white room turned slightly Green, and my body warmed up a few degrees, and I felt no pain. No after burn, just a bite, but the best stuff I've ever drank(drunk), sipped? It took me a week to drink that bottle. I was very emotional on the last shot glass full.

On the low end of the scale, I recently opened a bottle of Evan Williams 1783 small batch. And for $22, it's pretty tasty.
Also, one of the locals gave me a mason jar of some mighty fine sippin' liquor.Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

Took a sip of the Devil's River Texas Bourbon tonight. Comparable to average Kentucky Bourbons, a little burn going down. Think it is a better option for mixing than sipping. It is probably the lowest tier bottle in the gift pack but the price was right...........:-)

Mentioned the watermelon liquor earlier in the thread. It was kept in a jar in the freezer for a few days then resampled after getting back to room temperature. Totally different animal! Unbelievable bouquet in the nose, only a mild burn but considerably less potent flavor wise. After the cardboard like nose when it was fresh turned me off I can honestly say this is top shelf stuff! I'm not big on drinking just tasting, I'll rate this in the top five home made hooches I've ever had.

Not your average whisky, but Screwball peanut butter whisky, a Swiss Miss with marshmallow and hot milk makes a nice Recers peanut butter cup, fu fu drink.
