US coins are low quality as well. No doubt result of need for high volume vs service life loss etc.
    Latest bills are stunning though.

Has to be something criminal.... My guess is employee theft, credit card fraud or money laundering.

Sell your crack, buy some stamps at full price in cash, sell at a discount on Ebay.

Buy your stamps with a dodgy/stolen credit card, sell them at a discount, spend that money anywhere you like....

Of course, you'd have to think something criminal, if they weren't advertised everywhere, Google, Amazon, ebay, they're advertised everywhere. I'd think if something criminal, they'd be arrested in a day or so. I did read the ad from the USPS saying beware of fake stamps, Not a quote, but something like if someone is offering stamps for more that 50% off, it's probably too good to be true.

$.63 to mail a letter is CHEAP! The USPS is amazingly reliable, and quite fast, most of the time. An even better deal is the international stamps, which are something like $1.40. You can mail a 1 oz letter almost anywhere in the world for that. I've sent out a few international O-ring orders and the only one that's gotten hung up was to NZ.

Yes, it is cheap, but not as cheap as it seems. USPS has lost money every yr. for over a decade, If I read it right, last yr. over $6 billion in the hole. So that .60 cent stamp didn't cover it, that $6 billion came from somewhere, I'd guess the taxes we've paid.
