The only "order" around here would be an order for more muffins.

Nuts, that's a given but by unique I was thinking about the way this little community manages to hang together as a sort of family in spite of all the drama that seems to accompany humans.

I haven't made muffins in many moons. My baking these days is pretty much relegated to baking holiday treats for my people at work. If you want to come work for me I'll include you in this year's baking. This past Christmas I made Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies which you are welcome to imagine. Sadly I didn't take a picture, that WAS a lapse on my part.

I doubt it. That's kind of why I think of this place as a family, because it's still here in spite of the drama.

I figured everyone posting on this thread still posts here, along with everyone else who posts on all the other threads at the GSR. That's a lot of authorized hand raising to please indulge!

Hi Allie....This is my first post in a couple years as well, but though I'd say hello. My wife teaches a class on Friday mornings of all PhD students. I think she's helping with research design. Anyway, because she feels sorry for them, I bake every Thursday - scones, gougeres, torts, I'll run out soon.

You too, man. I just felt I didn't have much to add. Political lunacy had burned me out and as my only bike is a newer Triumph, it just always works. Besides adding a baggage frame and a holder and charger for my phone, and an oil change or two, there's just nothing to do. I've been working on gathering rental properties. My daughter is at a boarding school, but this weekend, we make our final college visits. Mostly just being old (even playing pickleball), but I do want to put on more miles this year.

Welcome back to the asylum, Bert. May I suggest that a mere 220 or so of those more miles (each way) would be well spent
traversing the route from SouthBend to Bedford for the Brown County ride in June.
