    Those "gut " feelings....

There is no full understanding about how these "feelings" happen or why, but this article explains quite a bit about them, and how they work.

The closing sentence: " Our environments may affect our nervous systems by way of the microbiome, adding new layers of complexity to the study of health and disease in the brain." is very similar to what was explained to me and my wife after we attended a meeting on the subject and got to speak directly with the microbiologist after he concluded his speech.

A major observation he made was that the gut biome of a city dweller is so VERY different from that of a farmer that it almost defies comparison.
There are endless variations possible in each of us, all....and always... subject to the very considerable influence of our personal environments.

    Well worth reading:

I feel pretty sure it does for some....when they are feeling down (no help from geese or ducks) .they are just "gutted".

It's interesting to me, the article that is.

Seemed to focus on sense of fear, but as far as affecting other emotions and reactions there has to be something going on.

I thought people's lacking moral compass, emotional actions, integrity and intellect in current day were result of things like years and years of pollution and prescribed medications.

also thought changes environmental and natural things would effect all of those things.

something is definitely persuading a change in human behavior, not sure about wild animals and lab rats..LOL.

I had a really strong gut feeling around 1.5 years ago. It turned out I had contracted Colitis Difficile (C.Diff), end up with Sepsis too, and almost died. 4th time in my life. It seems that once you get it, you become susceptible to it. It was a good thing that when I felt that feeling I went to the hospital, it took 6 hours to get in, and by that sixth hour, I was in serious trouble.

That should have read 1.5 years ago (typo on my part). I'm just finally over the long term effects, ready to put some miles on my bike!!
