    Now, before I melt away......

Yes, that is a line from the original "Frosty, the Snowman",

This morning one wonders if Frosty has returned, and is standing up for himself.
Today's AM chuckle comes from a town named Di ldo, in Newfoundland, Canada's easternmost Province.

Again, yes, that is the legitimate name.of the town.

(edit) and, yes....that area really is called Conception Bay.

Let's see. The Province is officially called Newfoundland and Labrador, so, were you thinking of sending out a LAB Retreiver?

I was thinking about a new cultural icon to rally around your countries lately found sense of superiority.

The CBC doesn't say much about this subject, it's not as entertaining as hearing about Americans killing each other I suppose

Three-quarters of the world’s mining companies are headquartered in Canada. Canadian mining firms are mired in corruption and human rights abuses around the world, yet Justin Trudeau has reneged on pledges to regulate them and end the abuses.

It might be that in its efforts to avoid braggadocio entirely, CBC is quietly showing proof that those bred in Canada are so passionate yet cool they stand and deliver right up to the moment of high heat, whereas elsewhere in the world, applying just a little ice leads to...shrinkage.
