No weight savings in the drive chain. I'm guessing I have a few pounds on him as well. Guessing maybe 200HP is all. About what my street bike has.

IA stock 1150 will not run 140 mph in 1/8th mile. I say that not because of old age, but because I had one and rode it every day, and put 60K miles on it. A stock 1150 will break 140 mph, but not a chance in 600ft. Ain't a gonna happen, and I can tune a 1150 about as well as one can be. I have more news for you. A stock 1150 is not 200 hp or anywhere near that. Try about 100.

But in the end, it re4ally doesn't matter. Everyone may believe as they wish. lol

Then you got old. Now those good old days are behind you and the high point of your day is saying, "Git off my lawn" LOL Good to see you posting about bikes again.

That last photo is my bike in the video. Like I said, slow. The pro street bikes are well over 600HP.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Everyone gets one of two roads. The first, you get old. The 2nd, you get dead. LOL

I did, but didn't find a photo of your bike, or you racing it. Really didn't see many photos, just a couple dozen videos....which I don't have time to work through.
There are some photos of a incomplete drag bike, but nothing serious.
Could you give me a post number of the photo?
Page numbers are flexible based on how you set up the forum, so the post number is the best way to direct someone.

So what track in Florida do you race this "old GS" at?

Lucky, meaning you're still able to post, sure. I've lost friends who died pretty young. One path for all, no one makes it out alive no matter the age.

And I'm the newbie. What sort of photo would you consider serious?

Too bad the site doesn't support dynamic links. Appears the post numbers are flexible as well.

Baatfam's says, "I made it to 140 in 1320' and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

Holy smokes on the frame repair. Did somebody rake the front end or do think a fomer owner needed to do a "vin swap"?

Fairly certain it was set for racing, possibly illegal street racing, as the forks were also shortened.

Fairly common to cut the fork tubes and rake for drag racing. Doing a search on YT for illegal street racing, most of them appear stock.

Attempts to set a new record with a Tillotson motor. Now is it really a mini-bike, not so sure about that.

Looks like you dialed 9.09 to the quarter. A bit too slow for the old 8.90 SC class back then. Way off the 8.20 TG index.

I guess that was proof enough for the old timers here about my 140 to the 1/8th comment. So it's back to the mini-bikes. Looks like they are making some good progress.
