It is indeed an Eddie Lawson Replica. More pics will follow but here’s how it sits now:

Congrats, if it's not complete junk, it's got to be a great deal.
The prior owner parked it a few years ago. Luckily he drained the tank and the inside is flawless. No dents/dings on the gas tank either. A fresh battery and some starting fluid (just as a test) resulted in the bike immediately running a few seconds. It’s a 1999 model with 28,500 miles. The bike also has a full D&D exhaust. Everything except the pipe, jet kit and K&N filter in it seemed stock.

I still had a NOS oil filter sitting around from the last one I owned and a few other small parts (Expensive lightweight Stuff radiator brackets and some Bear Spools). The bike has been Stage 2 jetted (Dynojet installed by a very reputable local shop) and I have new pods arriving today. The plan is to do the initial service (oil/filter, carbs, pads, plugs and tires) and then start the beauty treatment to make it nearly perfect again.

You definitely have a nice bike, and at that price. Keep it stock, it will be a collector bike.

I've been waiting for the pictures. You should feel like a kid on Christmas morning, you've hit a home run...Wonder why it's always somebody else and never me. Just a thought, if it hasn't been running for a while, how about a dose of Sea Foam in first gas, possibly dissolve a tiny piece of gunk before that tiny piece gets lodged somewhere. If you got the OEM wind screen I want it, mine has little scratches from an encounter with a deer a few yrs. back. For me, those chrome handlebar weights look out of place.... I always wondered why folks want pods, normally aggravating to get tuned right, a little noisier, and never enough, if any, increase in power to notice, and folks buying bikes would usually rather have the air box.... I'm jealous... Congrats !!!

I agree about the pods typically but since I have to remove the carbs (he sold it because after putting it away for a season the carbs were dirty)… I figured I would save the activation of the airbox. Oddly enough he lived on the other side of my neighborhood and the last time I saw this bike was him riding it was pre-COVID. It was sheer dumb luck that I saw the ad 17 minutes after it went up.

Here are pics of my last one from 2009.

And I agree about the weights. I may do bar ends but am not sure yet.

I see, like me, you mus'tv missed the center stand. Hope you still have those old spools and stands around, hate you'd need to buy them again.... You also should have an OEM windscreen for me, I see your old bike also has, had, a taller aftermarket, as most all do. Looks like I should be able to find reasonable OEM someplace, as nobody but me liked them. Don't misplace the OEM airbox, if you ever decide to sell this bike, new buyer will most likely want it... One more time, hard to imagine the deal, you know you should go give the guy some more money, this just wasn't right.

Oh the centerstand. I still have the Cycle Cat rear stand. And as far as the offer he just wanted it gone because he was tired of it sitting there and is moving very soon. The very next day I missed out on another 1999 ZRX1100 with 9800 miles and one owner for $700. Yes, I was going to pay the second guy more but he sold it on my way there.

To be clear… bought this as a non-runner. Tires are from 2013, battery from 2017 and it was a risk. I think I was fair. Only a deal because I can repair it myself and save money.

                        Ok…

                        Ordered/purchased:

                        Front/Rear tires
                        Front/Rear brake pads
                        K&N Pods
                        NGK Plugs
                        Oil (filter I had)
                        K&N breather filter
                        Battery (done)
                        4 carb bowl gaskets
                        Fuel line
                        Brake fluid
Rear brake lever (old one looked slightly bent)
Both levers (right side looked tweaked)
Clear signal lenses and brake lens (I liked them on my last bike)
                        4 amber turn bulbs

                        More to follow…

Keeping mostly stock otherwise except for maybe grab handles, mirrors and adding engine guards.

Sorry Suzukian, no he owes nobody nothing. For those who didn't get it, That was supposed to be a joke. for me it would be laughable for anybody ever buying anything then returning later to give the seller more than the price the asking.... Oh except on the TV show American Pickers, they did it a few times, but that was a TV show. Yes seems he did great, and with what he's doing will got to be really nice.

I got it. I felt when I got my ZZR1200, a little guilty, but the guy told me, you put tires on this, and clean it up, you could make 2 grand on it. He wanted the bike to go to someone who wanted it, and I have no plan to sell it. It will go to my son.

I knew where you were coming from.
