Looks like one hell of a mess got left behind. If you've ever had to clean up a property after a festival in good weather you know just how idiotic "woke" people can be, I can only imagine the nightmare the cleanup crew is facing there!

When someone uses the word "woke", I think what I used to say to my son he he was a toddler, "Use your words!". "Woke" means so many different things to so many different people, it means nothing. It is an example of the inability to convey a clear message. You say "woke", I say "wake up, and use your words.

That was a "Hit piece' by the way. You see people cleaning up and putting garbage in containers. So in 40 years, the world's weather change caused virtually unheard of flooding. the reporter did not even touch on the efforts of the people who have stayed behind and are cleaning up the place. What a rock. Some people should just stay home, never go anywhere, and for God's sake, don't have fun and just be miserable.

Are you sure it wasn't Chris Rock?

That's interesting. I know some burners (attend Burning Man) and I can't imagine any of them making such statements as these.

Would it be possible that there could be many different kinds people attending the event with many different reasons for going?

I watch the show with "Ian Rousell" "Full Custom Car Garage", he made an incredible bus that all folds up, then the guy drives it out to Burning Man, and it unfolds into a floating drive-able island, that's driven from the second floor. Has a full bar, and a band stage at the other end. 100's of people can get on that thing when it's staying still. I think there are many kinds of people there. There are jerks everywhere, but it's been going on for 40 years, and I bet that next year, a lot of people who build the crazy engineered stuff you see will take this years experience into account. I bet it's a lot more of what it is. People seem to have a lot of fun there, and it gets bigger every year. The picture below is him building it. Excellent show, by the way.

It's for sure a different crowd than it used to be which is why I gave up on it. Time was people actually lived by the ideals behind the event instead of playing dress-up for a week. You know, like before it made economic sense to generate your power with solar and wind like it is today or you knew if your food was organic or not because you where the one who grew it instead of purchasing it.

Interesting statement, agreement, then turn it around to say they have all changed into the mass group you originally purported. Do you actually grow your own food (not a question). I tried growing a field of Hot Dogs once, the next day, all the tops were bitten off. The cow I tried to grow, well that just turned out a mess. He made so much noise at night, considering just his head was sticking out, I just finished him out by piling enough dirt direct to cover his head. I had hoped he'd grow like a potato and I'd have a field of Beef. Just ended up with a big stinky hole.

I did run into something interesting, someone had planted a boot seed very long ago and must have forgot about it. The fully grown boot was about 3 feet under the ground, apparently they used glass and other garbage as fertilizer to grow the boot. Alas, the boot, having never been picked, and it was only a right side boot, no left boot seed was planted, had degraded quite a bit, and was unusable.
