    Tasmanian tiger to be reintroduced

...................after being extincy for 87 years. I did not realize there ever was a marsupial tiger.

When I saw the title of the thread "Tasmanian Tiger to be reintroduced by earlfor" I got to wondering if you gave up aerodynamics for genetics. Some of us are looking forward to the day when we can get a consumer grade CRISPR at Harbor Freight!

Can see a double edged sword with this one. After all if we could resurrect an extinct species the next step would be to justify extinction by keeping some tissue samples around for some future generations to play with.

We may not be able to predict the future but we certainly can influence it.

1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

They were hunted to extinction. When the only one left was in a zoo, a law was passed protecting them. The problem was they didn't figure out they woudl not repopulate with one remaining.

Not as scary as AI reproducing itself.

                      Better yet "Pet Seminary"

It's for sure a shot at "doing something" I just look at how twisted a philosophy could be concocted by having this kind of tech available especially when combined with my first reply directed toward trent.

Trent isn't extinct yet. However, I do have some reservations if it would be a good idea to reincarnate him at a future date. LOL

If we go with that CRISPR idea his self image could very well be permanently altered, both figuratively and literally.

Way ahead of you. It's in my freezer in a package labeled "veal." But...hasn't everybody done this?

And you need to remember to check it every few months. Family members tend to toss it in the trash when they think the 'veal's' gone bad.
